Show and Tell November 2007
These are the quilts whose owners gave permission for us to show on the website. Every effort has been made to match up the show and tell slip with the picture. If I have gotten it wrong, please email me.

Journal Quilt 2003 by Larkin Van Horn
Joan W. says "I don't want to be in a 12-step "Bead-aholics Anonymous" group. I'm enjoying my new found addiction so much I had to buy one of Larkin's quilts. To add to that, I spent so much at Quilt Country that I actually paid for one of Sandy Brawner's orders from festival.
Results from Larkin Van Horn's Shattered Circles workshop.
Gamma Phi 2003 Chicago Reunion by Diane C.
In 2003, seven college friends had a reunion in Chicago. I took fabric squares for each of us to sign, and planned to make an Album Quilt of some kind, one for each of us. Around May, emails started flying - lets meet again! This time in Charleston, SC in November. After photocopier issues, sewing machine issues, design issues, the quilts are finally done. Each is identical yet different! Think they'll be surprised?
Loving Ties That Bind by Dayna Ragland
This idea is from Shirley Botsford's book "Daddy's Ties" - these are 44 of my husband's old ties. I am making one for my daddy and my father-in-law as well.
by Tina Connolly
I made this quilt for my brother-in-law who has lung cancer and is trying experimental chemo. His is married to a wonderful Mexican lady and they met in Mexico. She is now an American citizen and somewhere on the quilt will be an American flag.
Esmerelda by Sheri Smith
I made this quilt several years ago. I bring her out once a year and thought I would introduce her to you before I put her away.
Colorful Black and White Quilt by Karen R. Wood
I participated in the Black and White paper-piecing block swap last year. This is my quilt.
Turning Point by Pam P.
This piece was inspired by Larkin's Nov.'05 visit to the Frisco Quilt Guild. Her Shattered Circles Series spoke to me. I call this piece "Turning Point" as it was the first true art quilt I made. Since then I have never looked back. I love the way red yarn spiral creates framed motion within the piece. The background quilting is metallic thread, and if you look closely you will see beads sewn at random intervals around the yarn spiral.
