January 8th 2009 - Linda Reynolds

Director of the East Texas Research Center, an historian who has done extensive research on east Texas quilts. Her lecture will be "East Texas Quilts".

March 12th 2009 - Spike Gillespie

Spike is a journalist, author, teacher, documentary filmmaker, ordained minister and life coach. As a novice quilter, she has written "Quilty as Charged: Undercover in a Material World", all about us - quilters!


April 9th 2009 - Valery Guignon

Valery Guignon is a lifetime self-supporting artist. She has worked in fiber, clay and metal and is an award-winning sculptor and on the board of directors of the Texas Sculpture Association.



May 14th 2009 - Wendy Butler Berns

Wendy Butler Berns is a quilt artist, teacher, and lecturer. Wendy’s quilts are noted for their bold use of color, unusual fabrics, and a combination of unconventional techniques.



June 11th 2009 - Alice Wilhoit

Alice has won awards for her applique and for her pieced quilts at serveral quilt shows over the years. Teaching and sharing her skills provides inspiration to other quilters and the stimulation of new ideas for Alice.


July 9th 2009 - Cathy Brady



August 2009 - Quilt Plano 2009 Preview Night

Instead of meeting at Parkway Hills as usual, we will meet at the Plano Center for Preview Night. All members and their immediate families are welcome.
