Raffle Quilt 2009 - Indigo Friendship Stars

The top was pieced by the Binding Friends Friendship Group, and quilted by Karen A. Nelson. Binding Friends includes Karen Nelson, Karen R. Wood, Karen G. Wood, Pauletta Shutts, Maureen Hoffman, April Fletcher, Rose-Clair Fletcher, Deni Schwendiman (not pictured), Teresa Sederburg, Theri Dufour, and Rebecca Clayton.
The quilt is made from true Indigos from South Africa and white cotton sateen. The indigos are reproduction fabric made the old-fashioned way. In Africa, the fabric is called Shwe-Shwe (pronounced as sway-sway).
